About 1.500 sheep leave their summer grazing areas in Nassfeld (Sportgastein).

The so-called "Schafschör" is always an interesting and social event. The tinkling of the bells, the loud "baas" of the mother sheep, the sound of alpine folk music and a throng of hundreds of visitors - all of this together creates a truly pleasant and traditional atmosphere. Lamb specialties will be served as long as supplies last.

From about 11 am the sheep arrive at the "Genossenschaftshütte"
